About Dizzywood

Ok guys if you don’t have a Dizzywood account(most of you guys do) Then you can sign up for one!  Here is a little bit about Dizzywood and what you do in Dizzywood. 

Dizzywood is a fun virtual world for kids where you can play free games, explore unique and extraordinary areas, and meet new friends in a safe environment. Whether it’s a visit to a Mayan-themed jungle or a super power challenge to defeat Emperor Withering, Dizzywood lets you create your own adventure, play exciting games, and have loads of fun with your friends online!

Chief Pathfinder Burrows

Name: Charles Burrows
Nickname: Chuck
Animal: Groundhog
Location: The Crystal Catacombs
Job: Chief Pathfinder

Background:
Charles Burrows is Chief of the Pathfinders, a noble order of explorers and guides whose mission is to help the helpless and guide the lost.  Pathfinders are also dedicated to thwarting Emperor Withering’s plots and chasing off his henchmen. Burrows will accept new members into the Pathfinder society only after they have passed a test of Dizzywood knowledge. You can find Chief Pathfinder Burrows hidden deep underground in the Crystal Catacombs, beneath the platforms inside the Jaguar Temple. Of course, Chief Pathfinder Burrows has been known to pop up from time to time in a variety of other places in Dizzywood.

Chanjo the Chameleon

Name: Chanjo
Nickname: Mr. Fixit
Animal: Chameleon
Location: Presto’s Grove
Job: Inventor

Background:
Chanjo the chameleon is the mechanical genius responsible for the wonderful tubes that draw new Dizzywood visitors to the arrival wagon in Presto’s Grove.

Years ago, Presto was crossing an old rickety bridge in his wagon, the Wildwood River raging below and over a tall waterfall.  As Hieronymous, the old bull beastie that pulled Presto’s wagon, reached the middle of the bridge, the supports began to crack.  The wheels fell off one side and the whole wagon began to tilt dangerously.

Presto quickly cut the reins, releasing Hieronymous, who stampeded off the bridge in fear.  Just then, Chanjo came upon the scene in his own self-propelled mechano-wagon.  As quickly as he could, he grabbed a huge sheet, tied the ends of the sheet with cord, then tied the cords around his waist.  He darted across the bridge, the sheet tucked under his arm, just as the last support gave way.  The bridge and Presto’s wagon tumbled into the river, smashing on the rocks with a loud crash before being swept over the falls.  Presto and Chanjo, though, floated gently down to the grass below, courtesy of Chanjo’s quickly invented home-made parachute.

Since that day, Presto and Chanjo have been inseparable friends.  Presto gathers the magic elixir Chanjo needs to power his machines and Chanjo builds and maintains his famous tubes.

Katherine de Claw

Name: Katherine de Claw
Nickname: Kat
Animal: Feline
Location: The Garden Gazebo
Job: Gardener, groundskeeper

Background:
Katherine de Claw (or Kat as she likes to be called) is the caretaker and gardener of Wildwood Forest’s garden. The Great Dizz once kept all the magical flowers and plants growing, but when he disappeared into the woods, Presto was left to take care of it.  Realizing he didn’t have the botanical skills to keep the plants alive and all the wonderful sprites happy, he put out a call to Canal City and Skypoint.  It was Kat de Claw who answered.  With the help of Chanjo, they built a gazebo for Kat where she’s lived and gardened ever since.

Kat is also the creator of the famous moxie mulch, a boon to any Dizzywood gardeners. It’s believed she creates moxie mulch by adding magical elixir from Wildwood Forest to regular mulch she has airshipped in from the Dizzy Farmlands.

Because of her keen intelligence and genial personality, Kat de Claw is one of the most popular citizens of Dizzywood.  So popular, in fact, she was recently voted Chief Poobah in the Dizzywood Election.

Arcticus Frost

Articus Frost is the Winter Wizard. He resides in the Icy Aerie.

Location: The Icy Aerie
Job: Winter wizard

Background:
Arcticus Frost is a Weather Wizard, one of the most powerful mages in Dizzywood.  Specifically, he holds the title of Winter Wizard, so powerful he can summon snow, blizzards, and hail with the merest wave of his wing.  The Weather Wizards have a reputation for being selfish, arrogant, and self-serving, and Arcticus is no exception.  Airship pilots will sometimes appeal to Arcticus for calm weather during important flights that take place in the winter months or across frozen mountain ranges.  Depending on his mood, the eagle mage will either answer the pilot’s request, drive the hapless animal off, or sometimes (if he’s feeling especially spiteful), bring a large winter storm down on everyone.  Arcticus has a wizard’s laboratory called The Icy Aerie, on the top of the highest ice-covered mountain.

Kan the Geomancer

Find him in Explorers Camp to turn your crystals into real Critters. 

Name: Kan
Nickname: none
Animal: Python
Location: The Explorers’ Camp
Job: Geomancer (crystal wizard)

Background:
Kan is a boa constrictor geomancer, a wizard who specializes in crystal magic.  Kan lives in Tanglevine Jungle and has been seen most recently near the Explorers’ Camp.  He claims to come from The Lost City of Itza, but only smiles and slinks off into the jungle when explorers ask him any questions about the fabled city, especially its location.  As a geomancer, Kan is always on the lookout for the magic crystals that come out of the Crystal Catacombs and will trade coins for the most valuable shards.  He’s particularly concerned by the fate of critters who have wandered into the catacombs and become crystalized.  Kan has promised to help any explorers who have found these crystal critters.

Grool Grubnibbler

Grool Grubnibbler is one of Emperor Withering’s nasty henchmen. 

Name: Grool Grubnibbler
Nickname: Cruel Grool
Animal: Swamp monster
Location: The Noxious Swamp
Job: Withering henchman

Background:
Grool Grubnibbler was a sad and pathetic swamp monster before he was discovered by Emperor Withering.  Withering saw the potential for great cruelty in Grool and immediately recruited him for his growing group of henchmen, The Underlings. Grool operates primarily out of The Noxious Swamp near Tanglevine Jungle.

One of his favorite tricks is to try to lure poor unsuspecting Garden Sprites into traps that he sets throughout Dizzywood. Often, Dizzywood citizens come to the aid of the Garden Sprites and free them before Grool can get his hands on his prey.

Timothy Hay

 

Name: Timothy Hay
Nickname: Timmy
Animal: Hare
Location: Presto’s Edge
Job: Wizard apprentice

Background:
Timothy Hay is a rabbit that resides in Presto’s Edge. He can be found sitting on a rock near the crystal keyhole that provides access to Mage Barrow and other destinations. Timothy is an apprentice wizard and is hoping to learn more about magic. He is involved in several Dizzywood missions and players will encounter him often.

Montana Jack

Montana Jack 

Name: Montana Jack
Nickname: Monty
Animal: Jackrabbit
Location: unknown
Job: Adventurer

Background:
One of the most famous explorers in Dizzywood, Montana Jack’s latest adventure involves the many Onakasi ruins in the jungle (and inside) the monstrous volcano Mt. Kaklakala. Jack also thinks he may have discovered a key to finding the famous Lost City of Itza. Due to his small stature and cute appearance many a monster has underestimated him and lived to regret it.
